INAUGARATION CEREMONY 🏫

With a ton of enthusiasm, the student coordinators from the CSE w/s in Health Informatics branch inaugurated the Health-O’-Tech Club on the 9th of August, 2022.

The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Sung Hoon Chung, Assistant Professor of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering at the State University of New York at Binghamton.As a token of love and respect, the student coordinators presented the dignitaries with a momento each.

Shortly after, it was the time to release the much awaited official poster of the Health-O-Tech club unleashed by the dignitaries, thus, marking its establishment for the years to come with the hope that the club reaches the pinnacle of success and has a significant impact in the field of technology and healthcare with its events and workings.

TECHNO INOVATION RALLY (TIR) πŸ‘©β€πŸ’»

This event aimed at the inclusive participation of students from all branches. They were tested on their technical knowledge and creativity.

The first round of the event i.e. Puzzle round started at 11:00 am, where the teams had to solve a SUDOKU Puzzle within the given time frame of 30 minutes, the round aimed at testing the reasoning skills of the participants. No use of any digital gadget was allowed during this round to maintain fair conduct. The second round consisted of a quiz consisting of questions based on general technical knowledge. The time limit for the same was set to 30 minutes. The final round was the technical Problem Solving round, all the teams were provided with a problem statement and they had to work on it within 30 minutes. During all the rounds fair conduct of the event was ensured by the club members, technical issues were addressed by the technical team members, and discipline was maintained for the smooth run of the event.

The teams were applauded for their efforts and awarded participation certificates. The top 3 teams were awarded a rank-based certificate and were photographed with the faculty and student coordinators of the club.

IDEA QUEST & POSTER PRESENTATION COMPETITION 🦈

Inspired by one of the most viewed and liked Reality shows, SHARK TANK, the competition aimed to provide students an opportunity to showcase their unique ideas and motivate them to become future entrepreneurs. Teams were tested on their technical, management, and strategic skills

TA blend of technology and business topped with some creativity, the event consisted of a shark tank and poster presentation competition along with some enthralling music performances. A total of 7 teams pitched their business ideas and negotiated with the sharks. Students displayed their creative skills by designing posters on the topics: IOT in Healthcare, AI/ML in Healthcare, Cyber Security in Healthcare, AR/VR in Healthcare.

The winning team was awarded a cash prize and trophies by the judges. The runner-up team was Team Medics (Team 1), and the team to grab the winning trophy was Team Relocity (Team 2). The winner of the Poster Presentation was Team Zenith followed by Team Invaders as the runner-up.

AI FOR MEDICAL IMAGING πŸ’»

A webinar on "AI for Medical Imaging" by Dr. Siva Teja Kakileti, principal research scientist at NIRAMAI, was presented by the Health-O-Tech club on December 10th. The webinar focused on how we might merge health tech and AI. All VIT Bhopal University students were welcome to participate in the webinar.

In-depth explanations of how machine learning algorithms and other cognitive technologies are applied in medical contexts were provided to the students by the speaker during the webinar. It aimed to gain a thorough understanding of medical imaging and how diagnostic imaging services are crucial for the verification, evaluation, and recording of various diseases as well as the effectiveness of treatment. The forms of ML, applications of AI in medical imaging, traditional ML, and deep learning for medical imaging were just a few of the fascinating subjects presented in this webinar. It was also addressed how to identify breast cancer in its early stages using the Thermalytix technology.

BRAIN COMPUTER INTERFACE 🧠

The Health-o-tech club, in association with the Centre of Excellence in AI and Healthcare conducted a seminar on the topic " Brain computer Interface" on 24th November.

The seminar was conducted by Dr. Mitul Kumar Ahirwal, Assistant professor at MANIT Bhopal.
